Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need a website?
A: Yes, of course. A website is 24/7/365 access to potential clients and customers. More importantly, the internet has become a first stop search platform. Everyone knows how to use the web to some degree, and with the age of Google, nearly everyone knows how to "Google it." Why pay $1200/year for a Yellow Page advertisement when you could get a website that lasts forever at a much cheaper price?
Q: What is SEO?
A: SEO is short for search engine optimization. The idea here is to build your website to be as "search engine friendly" as possible. Having a well "SEOed" website will move your website higher up in the search results and generate more traffic to your site.
Q: How long will it take you to build my website?
A: This is a very tough question because every website is different. For a basic informational website we like to have the first draft done within 48-hours, and have all revisions and changes complete within a week. For a larger e-commerce site or site with a lot of custom programming, the delivery time can range from 2-4 weeks.
Q: What is web hosting?
A: Web hosting is a service that every website requires. A website without a web host is like a car without fuel, it just won't work! When you build a website you need to store it somewhere out there in cyberspace. A web host is a computer dedicated to serving the files of your website to visitors through their web browser. When a visitor types in the address to your website, the files are being transfered from the hard drive of a web host all the way to their browser for display.
Q: What is HTML
A: HTML (or HyperText Markup Language) is a basic programming language that a web browser such as internet explorer uses to construct the layout of your website.
Q: What is AJAX
A: AJAX or (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) in short, is a way to update data on a webpage without changing the page. This works by using Javascript to send a request through the browser to your server, retrieving some information, and finally outputting it back into the web page. This technique is commonly used to improve the usability of a website.
